The End of the Blues!

Well, this is the last link up for January to the RSC (Rainbow Scrap Challenge) hosted by Angela at soscrappy. I thought I was done last week with all my blocks, BUT I found another one that I added to the list! I made a total of 29 blocks for the month!

This is the new block- Rainbow Twist. It is a 16" finished block. I will be using the same black/white print for the background in all of the blocks.
So here is a review of this months blocks:
12 String blocks
3 That Thirties Thing Blocks
4 Centennial Blocks
6 Pinwheel Blocks
1 Flower Block
Today I spent over 5 hrs hemming hubby's pants!! I hemmed 2 coveralls, 2 sweat pants, 2 cargo pants, and 4 pairs of jeans!!!
Earlier this week I made a card and a pair of earrings for our nieces' birthday.
I still need to practice making loops!
And I finally made some design boards (10) from Lori (beeinmybonnet) Holt's tutorial. I didn't use hot glue nor did I stitch up the 'binding'. I just folding the binding and pressed real well to have a crisp fold and use Aleene's Fast Grab tacky glue. I love Aleene's Quick Designer glue to glue EVERYTHING, but it is no longer available, so I tried this one and it works just as well as the Designer glue. I'm happy with the way they came out and have already put a couple of them to use!!
So that's it for this week. Linking this post to soscrappy. Be sure to check it out.
...........Sew till next time.........

This is the third blog in a row that I'm reading that had those scrappy pinwheel blocks. Wow, that's tempting for me.

Awesome bunch of blocks there. The rainbow twist is a bit unusual, love it. And other makes as well. I made some of those design boards, but found that the hot glue gun didn't heat the glue well enough for it to spread properly and it kept setting before I had the boards done. I ended up pitching that and using craft glue, but wasn't all that happy with that either.

It's so much fun to see all your projects! All your blues look great - you're going to have a big ol' batch of quilts at the end of the year.

You have a lot of projects going on! Blue is my favorite color, so I am loving all your blocks. I don't know what I would do without my design boards--Lori is a genius!
