I only had to make 2 flower blocks this month and they went fast. I'm hoping I didn't make a mistake when I put this list together at the beginning of the year, and I will have enough blocks for a complete top at the end of the year!! Some months I have had to make at least 4! I am intentionally adding the appliqué WITH the grain of the strings and ACROSS the grain of the strings. And I am also trying to mix up the darks and lights on the border of each block, so they will be a little different. I am loving how they are coming out. If you are interested, Connie at Freemotion by the River has a tutorial on this block. I think I should have separated them a bit before I took the pic!!
I only had to make 2 more Scrappy Strings this week and I must have made 3 instead! When I put them all together, I have 13 instead of the 12 I needed. Guess I actually made 41 blocks this month!!
I'm linking to SoScrappy, so please go over and take a look at the other RED blocks being made this month. Lots of eye candy!
Thanks for stopping by!

Our color for Sept. is Rose Red for the RSC (Rainbow Scrap Challenge). I have made a lot of headway on my blocks so far.
I seem to always start off the month with the Jacob's Ladder Blocks. I have all the scrappy 4 patches and the background triangles done, so these get whipped up pretty fast.
I still love doing these pinwheels! I can't wait to get them made into a top at the end of the year!
In case you are thinking that these Centennial Stars look a little odd, it's because I hadn't removed the paper backing!! They all wanted to curl up!
The last couple of days I have been stitching up my Scrappy Strings. I still have 2 more to make. I will not even make a dent in my red selvedge bin, but that's okay. At least it will be a few strings lighter!!
The next 2 were for the younger generation, a 19 year old and 21 year old!!
And I also recovered my cutting/ironing table. I found this cute sewing machine fabric on our last trip and I could kick myself for not getting more!! I bought just enough to cover this top, but now I want to make a sewing machine pad and cover! Oh well, I might run across it online or locally! If not, that's okay, I have more than enough projects to keep me busy!!
I also got out my Go Baby. All the fabric you see there, is now little 2" squares!!
