Allietare is a TOP!

Well, that took longer than I was hoping, but it's finally a top!! I hope to get it quilted this year, but for now, it's not that high on the priority list.

I LOVE this quilt. And it's made entirely from my stash!

Thanks to Bonnie Hunter for another great mystery! I don't know how she does all that she does and still finds time to do this mystery for her blog followers. She is a powerhouse!

I am linking to Sew Fresh Quilts.

UPDATE: I am linking to Quiltville for the final, I think, Linky party!! Be sure to check out the others. Some real beauties! Thanks again, Bonnie, for a great mystery!

My word for the year is.............

.........PRODUCTIVE. One week into the new year and it just came to me. I was just reviewing my planner and found that I only worked on Allietare, Bonnie Hunter's Winter Mystery, despite making a list of the other things I wanted to get done this week. I will continue on Allietare today, but tomorrow I will start on a small sewing project. It's a birthday gift and I am already a few days late with it. Plus, I wanted to make 3 different blocks for the RSC 2016 and start on the 365 Day Challenge!

I will check back next Sunday and let you know how "productive" I have been. Have a great week!

It's all coming together........

.......until I realize that I am 2 blocks short! How in the heck did that happen? Guess I should have counted them!!!

I am very happy with my color choices. I will get the 2 blocks made tomorrow, then start sewing the rows together.

It's been way too long :-((

Why can't I get in the habit of posting on a regular basis? I sew at least 5 days a week, therefore I have a lot to show, but I just don't make the time to post. That has got to change this year. The reason for this blog in the first place, is to have a record of what I make!

I have been busy with Bonnie Hunter's Winter Mystery, Allietare. I love this pattern! Here are my first 2 blocks. I changed her red for my purple and her gold for my orangey gold! And my gray is much darker than hers, but hey, it's all from my stash, so I just went with it!! I am sewing the rest of the blocks together today, so hopefully have a completed top in a few days.

I am linking to Freemotion by the River. Check out Connie's site to see more projects.

First day of 'Family' vacation

We are on our way to Estes Park, Colorado to spend a week with my 2 brothers, sister in law, daughter and son in law. Looking forward to spending time with them all.

Our day started off nice. Beautiful weather, not too hot. Enjoyed all the Crepe Myrtles along the interstate. That truck on the right looks like a Texas flag!

Wait, shouldn't that be a yellow rose?

And who can pass up Buc-ee's? Not me!! For those of you that have never been to this place, you are missing out on one heck of a shopping experience! It is the ultimate Gas Station. But most of the time we don't need gas, but we HAVE to stop! They have everything including the best restrooms in Texas!! It was hard to walk out of there without my usual Sausage on a Stick and their homemade Chips!!

Then a couple of miles down the road we were at a stop and crawl for 2 hrs because of this. Hope no one was hurt.

We are hoping for a better day tomorrow.
